just after breakfast and before i could start our good morning song (that lets the kids know that school is starting), she had parked herself in her brothers chair and grabbed the human body model that she had been so anxious to get her hands on. i had been eyeing the ANATOMY MODELS BUNDLE SET by LEARNING RESOURCES for a while now and they finally dropped to a price that i was willing to pay ($41.96 at the time). i came across a blog post on studying the human body and fell in love with the HUMAN BODY MODEL that they used in their homeschool. however, i did NOT fall in love with its price. ($103.00) :(

{SLOW DOWN, THERE'S NO NEED TO RUSH...}

i'm on day 18 of vlogsgiving and just getting around to posting day NINE. trying to manage so much as a mommy, a wife, a business woman, a friend and falling "short" far too often than not can be SO frustrating. it can also be an incredible reminder of the GRACE we have been GIVEN and the importance of patience with ourselves and with others. it is crazy hard to practice patience with others when you have none with yourself. 

i've yelled at you (my babies) and attempted to dismiss you far too often lately. and, while it makes me feel incredibly guilty and like the world's worst homeschool mom the guilt fixes NOTHING. the reality is that i have been stretched, tested and under a lot of pressure but i ALWAYS have a choice.

so all of my prepping and planning have led up to this day. our first official day of the human body unit!!!! i made the announcement just before we got started this morning and they looked at me like i had eight heads. "we've been on the human body for a week now mommy" :/ LOL... I love these kids. they accept my crazy, extra, all-over-the-place self and run with it.

apple cider slushies, funnel cakes, roasted corn on the cob and hayrides to the witches house (not scary, just fun :). fall is finally here!!! this year has FLOWN by and OCTOBER has now come and, basically, gone. this past weekend we spent a little time with friends that have become family. i almost missed it... the chance to spend time laughing and making memories with people that we love. because, work tasks and home task can occupy your head space. but, don't let it...
