{GRANDPA'S STORIES // A GO & GROW PICK : WHAT WE READ + LOVED...}
SOOOOoooo…. let’s talk about another one of those things that i’ve have a vision for that I need to just jump all the way into, shall we?!? a fallcokids book club!!! honestly, i wish you could schedule a visit to my wonderful world of all the things i’ve imagined to create in this space… on other hand, maybe NOT! but, let’s get into this one step at a time with a little intro to our fallcokids book club.
A ‘GO & GROW’ MONTHLY PIC //
morning story time while leaving a little food for thought and the days ahead to ‘go & grow’. walking you through how i try and sprinkle in some homeschool extra-ness ✨✨READING GRANDPA’S STORIES by JOSPEH COELHO & ALLISON COLPOYS
p.s. for all ages , sharing how we make it work for all of our friends
let’s give this one a go. grab your {BOOK NOTES}
read it with us and join the club.
i wrote this post up back in april and tries something new reading it along with kendall bear and he loved creating with me!!! time got away from me and I never got around to sharing then i spent way too much time over thinking 🤔 and didn’t share.
but, the reality is that we love books like these and it gave us an extremely gentle way to tackle difficult subject matter with forward thinking. the reality is that the love, respect, honor of our elderly seems to be fleeting as life becomes more and more self-seeking and I want to make sure we keep them toward the forefront of our hearts and minds.
they have so much to share, so many stories, so much love, kindness, wisdom and grace if well give them room in our lives. this book opened up so much conversation and and growth in the way we interact and invite our grandparents, elderly neighbors and friends into our lives on a regular basis.
the projects that we set our hands and hearts to as a result of this beautiful story //
1- weekly sleepovers with grandparents w/ games and interview questions
2-weekly conversations w/ grandpa while recording their family tree
3-book notes essay “what grandpa/grandma means to me”
feel free to check out my cutie pie as he joins in on a little story time with his mama…
with all the love,
syreena
