{ reflections on ten years of homeschool & life... }
a decade…
a whole, actual, decade of walking by faith and figuring this thing out. we just officially wrapped up my tenth year of being a homeschool mom! the more I say it the more I realize how wild that really is. But to them… it’s not at all! Its their norm. It is all they’ve known. To them, this is the way life is supposed to go. following my lead as I share with them all that I know and everything that I don’t. They’ve learned to filter life through the lens of love that I show them. that's what ten years of homeschool has been for us… and I’m grateful.
A friend asked me what I felt like my trials and triumphs have been over the last ten years. The short of it came out quite simply. My biggest triumph has been that we’re still going and my biggest trial has been that there’s so many, lol. But, each year I’ve learned to meet those trials with faith and love. Pressing on one day at a time.
if I were to share any keys or secrets to how we’ve experienced fruitful years along our educational journey, there would only be one.
im just out here trusting god with the whole of my heart and my mind!
I struggle daily, with whether or not what we choose to do each and every day is 'right’ and/or ‘enough’. and yet, no matter the struggle I face, I choose trust above all else.
it’s carried me through the doubts and the fear, our strenghts and our weaknesses, the good days and the bad.
I revisit our statement of purpose and vision reminding myself of who we are, what he’s promised and then I trust him!
